Range of variability of the morphometric indicators of the piriform aperture of men depending on craniotype

Abstract

The study investigated the morphometric parameters of the piriform aperture in men depending on craniotype using 56 CT images. Measurements of height, width, perimeter, and area were analyzed across euriprosopic, mesoprosopic, and leptoprosopic skull types. The results showed that the ranges of variability of all studied indicators were established, but no significant differences were found between different craniotypes. These findings expand knowledge of tomographic anatomy of the maxillofacial region, which is important for clinical practice and radiological diagnostics.
