Item type:Документ, Surgical procedures performed for postoperative complications of intestinal injuries(2025) Ismayılova, Z.E.; Aghayev, E.K.The study analyzed the treatment outcomes of gunshot injuries of the intestines (GII) in 168 patients to assess postoperative complications (PC) (found in 29.8% of cases) and their causes. The risk of complications was found to be independent of the time until primary surgery but depended heavily on the combined nature of the injury and inaccurate peritonitis assessment. Comparative analysis of repeated surgical procedures showed that minimal corrective procedures yielded significantly better results (83.9% success) compared to radical reconstructive surgeries (11.1% recovery) in the presence of generalized peritonitis. It is concluded that radical reconstructive surgeries are impractical in conditions of peritonitis and should be postponed until the patient's condition stabilizes.
