Analysis of the level of awareness and professional readiness of pharmacy professionals in Ukraine to identify and respond to cases of domestic violence

Abstract

Actuality. Domestic and gender-based violence remains a latent socio-medical issue, exacerbated by the armed conflict in Ukraine. The role of pharmacy professionals is evolving toward a strengthening of social functions, specifically the early identification of victims and their referral to specialized services. Despite successful global experience in involving pharmacies in combating violence, the readiness of Ukrainian pharmacists to fulfill this role remains insufficiently explored. The aim of the study is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the awareness and professional readiness of pharmacy professionals in Ukraine to identify and respond to cases of domestic violence, as well as to determine the impact of specialized training on the development of their competencies in preventing this phenomenon.
